Lockout at Hindalco's Alupuram plant

MUMBAI: Hindalco Industries Ltd. has announced a lock-out at its Alupuram Plant. The company declared the lock-out due to protracted acts of indiscipline by workmen at its Alupuram Plant.

The company has further stated that it is not expecting any sort of impact on the financials due to the lock-out at the Alupuram plant.

This city-based company is involved in the production and sale of aluminum and copper in India and internationally. The company’s aluminum products include rolled products, extrusions, foils, primary aluminum ingots, billets, wire rods, and aluminum slabs; and aluminum chemicals, such as standard alumina, standard hydrate and specialty aluminas and hydrates for use in refractories, ceramics, fire retardant plastics, alum, and zeolite applications.
