IAF cycle expedition on global warming

GUWAHATI: To showcase the multi-faceted characteristics of  Indian Air Force personnel, the Air Force Station Digaru started the longest cycle expedition under the aegis of Eastern Air Command headquarters here on Tuesday.

The 2000-km rigorous expedition will spread awareness on global warming with the motto of Save the Mother Earth and Green India, Clean India. The expedition began from Air Force Station at Digaru and will terminate at the Air Force Station in New Delhi. Flagged off by Group Captain Sanjay Aneja, station commander, Air Force Station, Digaru, the expedition team consists of 11 members, including eight cyclists.

Two lady officers are also in the team. This is the first cycle expedition being conducted for such a long distance from the northeast to the Capital.
