Indian apparel industry eyes Las Vegas Magic fair

NEW DELHI: The apex body of the apparel exporters of India the Apparel Export promotion Council (APEC) is participating in the biggest global fashion fair the Magic fair at Las Vegas in an effort to globally promote the Indian apparel industry and to fetch heavy orders.

The industry expects to get a global order worth $150 million from this fair. “This is yet another step by AEPC to promote export of readymade garments from India to USA. During the fair, a strong platform would be available to the American buyers for concluding long-term sourcing decisions”, said, Premal Udani, Chairman, AEPC.

The Las Vegas Magic Fair has commenced from 13th February and is witnessing participation by Indian exhibitors from the state of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and from trading centres of Mumbai and Tirupur. The Las Vegas Magic Fair is considered to be the most august gathering of apparel manufacturers and exporters on an international level.
