Help needed - WINDOWS7- BLACK SCREEN

Folks

I have a problem with my lappy. Tried to upload windows 7 update in the morning, from that time it started sucking all my time.
I am getting ALL BLACK screen with a movable cursor, desperate to find solution.
I tried to repair with disk, ctl+alt+del,safemode,restore but nothing is working at all.

Can some one help me in restarting my lapy (it has very very very important things stored in it).

your system restore is not working buddy, try getting the restore disks for your lappy

may be you might have messed up the restore partition

system restore disks can be downloaded for some manufactures, but most needn to pay for the disks they ship out

my friend faced same problem.. it must be with the display driver.. run your display driver in windows xp compatibillity mode.. it might give a hint  sCo_hmmthink sCo_hmmthink sCo_hmmthink win 7 starts with its display driver.. you have to update the drivers of your graphics.. ati or intel etc..  #~` #~`

I AM MORE CONFUSED....Madyalo windows XP ekkadanundi vachindi....
konchem ardam ayyela cheptavaa!!!

i read that the problem is with video driver, i tried with VGA cable and 2nd monitor.....
video input out of range antundi (resolution of that monitor has been tried from lowest to highest settings)...

any body else...pl suggest

naa system lo fn+ f8 FOR other screens i tried that....

but boot ayyentavaraku screen paina (2nd screen) paina vastundi...tarvata display limit exceeded antundi.....

boot stage lo vunnanta varaku both screens lo kanipistundi, booting aipoyaka BLACK SCREEN kanapadutundi...
