Alfred pichikaaki Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Telangana MLAs to Boycott AssemblyHYDERABAD: As many as 99 MLAs belonging to the ruling Congress as well as Opposition from the Telangana region have announced their decision to boycott the remaining Budget session of assembly from Thursday onwards. The TRS and TDP Telangana Forum which have been demanding the statehood to the Telangana region said on Wednesday that their legislators would boycott the Budget session. The Congress MLAs from the region have already announced their decision to stay away from the Budget session demanding an immediate statement from the Centre on the creation of a separate state. Telangana TDP Forum convenor Nagam Janardhana Reddy, however, said they would review their decision if the government initiates action over the long-pending demands of employees taking part in the non-cooperation movement. The statehood issue dominated the Budget session which commenced on February 17.
