Stars expect to raise Rs 3.5 cr

Tollywood hopes to raise Rs 3.5 crore for flood victims during the November 7 star night being organised by the Movie Artistes Association.

The money will be handed over to the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, at the event. Donors contributing more than Rs 5 lakh will be allowed to hand over the cheque to Mr Rosaiah.

Rajnikanth, Vijayakanth, Vikram, Suriya, Sarath Ku-mar and veterans Dharmendra, Jitendra, Rajesh Khanna will participate. Amitabh Bachchan is likely to take part. Most Tollywood stars will be a part of the event on November 7. The actors released a music album dedicated as a curtain raiser.

The tickets are priced at Rs 1 lakh, Rs 10,000 and Rs 1,000. The association said it would not be giving complimentary tickets.
