kingmakers Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 There is a strong rumour going on in the media circles that a section of Seemandhra business lobby had offered Rs 50 crore to Telangana political joint action committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram to stop the agitation.According to these rumours, the Seemandhra lobby has come to the conclusion that Prof Kodandaram is more powerful than Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao and that the JAC chairman’s call gets more response from the people of Telangana.A mediator from the Andhra business house which has taken up several irrigation projects in Telangana and part of outer ring road project in Hyderabad approached Kodandaram last week and asked him to withdraw the Telangana agitation and leave the matter to the Centre till May. In return, he was offered Rs 50 crore. For any person of Kodandaram’s status, Rs 50 crore is too hefty an amount. However, he did not accept the same as the damage it would cause to his image would be much higher than benefits he would get from the money. And there would definitely be questions how he had become super rich overnight. And who knows Kodandaram might even become an MP in the coming days and earn Rs 50 crore within no time, if he sustains his image now! @3$% @3$% @3$% @3$% @3$% @3$% @3$% @3$%
