The ball what Bhajji tried is Table Tennis ball.
It is easy to make return with spin but in reality with Match ball this can't be possible with the normal speed. Until unless You make it slower.
Theory over here is...
with Match Ball when You deliver this kind of spin makes ball get slower than the batsmen expectation and this can make the ball goes up in the air rather than staying on ground after impact due the ball stops or gets very slower than what was expected. this wil result in gifting his wicket with an easy catch...

But this is really hard to implement in reality with perfection in timing when the batsman going for big hits for trapping...

This is as per my knowledge and implementation previously in the game...

This is for Reebok.

While such kind of spin is possible while throwing the ball under-arm, acquiring spin and trajectory over-arm is immensely difficult. For the naked eye, it's difficult to gauge from the video if it's indeed Harbhajan's skill or technology-aided gimmick. "From a physics point of view, if one is able to induce such a spin, then the desired effect can occur. But in normal circumstances, it is difficult as factors like grip, ability to rotate the thumb and even the palm comes into play," says Anand Ramaswami , head - R&D, ThinkLabs , a company that's into educational robotics. In other words, Harbhajan would need wrists as supple as Muralidharan, or nano motors in his fingers. Funnily enough, when the ace India offie pulls off the trick, he himself is surprised and exclaims with a "oh teria¦" Even if Harbhajan has mastered the "teesra" that doesn't quite reach the batsman, without bending his elbow beyond the ICC stipulated 15 degrees, there's a good reason why he may not be able to use it. It wont be deemed legal.

Cricket's law 24(6) and (7) clearly state: "The umpire shall call and signal No ball if a ball which he considers to have been delivered, without having previously touched bat or person of the striker, either (i) bounces more than twice or (ii) rolls along the ground before it reaches the popping crease. And if a ball delivered by the bowler comes to rest in front of the line of the striker's wicket, without having previously touched the bat or person of the striker, the umpire shall call and signal No ball and immediately call and signal Dead ball."

When contacted by ET, Sajid Shamim, ED - marketing & sales, Reebok, refused to comment on the viral.

However, sources close to the initiative inside Reebok told ET that Bhajji practising the 'teesra' is part of a communication campaign Reebok is planning using the cricketer for the World Cup . "It is clear that the viral has been inadvertently released before giving the final touches to the campaign. But now that the campaign idea is out, the company is looking at ways to leverage on the viral video," sources said.

Sources further added that Reebok is constantly carrying out experiments and innovations internally using cricketers and cricket to make their communication more edgy and the current viral is part of that strategy. Xpereement was a part of this initiative to use all Reebok contracted Indian superstars such as Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh . "Advertently or not, the video has acquired enough curiosity online. Now, the challenge is to leverage it and make it part of a consolidated Reebok campaign," remarked a senior official from an advertising agency.

Virals videos are ads made by brands who let them proliferate online through referrals on social media networks like Facebook and Twitter . Globally brands like Nike have used viral videos as an ambush advertising tool. Nike's 'Write the Future' viral campaign featuring footballers was released on social networking sites just weeks before FIFA World Cup 2010 . It generated a lot of buzz for Nike and is considered to be a classic guerilla marketing strategy as Nike took the online space to compete against Adidas, who was the official sponsor of the World Cup.
