Hyderabad MBA student arrested for blackmailing girls

A 23-year-old MBA student who was blackmailing girls with obscene videos and photographs, was arrested in the city, police said.

The accused, Kampa Harshavardhan, who was doing MBA from a private college at Kompalli in Ranga Reddy district, was arrested by the Commissioner's Task Force (North Zone), said Deputy Commissioner of Police, V B Kamalasan Reddy.

Harshavardhan allegedly befriended at least five girls who were pursuing their PG courses here, and had sex with some of them.

Allegedly, he filmed the sexual intercourse without the girls' knowledge, and started blackmailing them. He emailed photographs to the girls, demanding money, police said.

Harshavardhan, who completed his BTech from Tirupati, had also sold porn VCDs and DVDs to fund a Bangkok tour organised by his college, Reddy said.  };_ };_
