i don't know whether parallely made or not but Telugu Kushi was released on  April 26, 2001, where as tamil was on May 19, 2000 an Year gap

telugu lo kushi film jan 2000 lo start ayindi. actually it was registered with "cheppalani undhi".  heroine was amisha patel.

after watching nuvve kavali movie with 90% similar concept, they changed the title and re-shooted many parts.

Looks like pavan was very much inspired or driven by d way of stylin of MJ where we can see d way pavan dresses seeems like resembling jackson (but still i like his styling)
