Yuvraj Singh is playing this World Cup for a special person but who is that special person? If we believe Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh then it could be none other than Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

"I would not be surprised if he meant Sachin," Yograj said

According to Yograj, Sachin always helps Yuvraj in his bad times.

"Sachin has been a huge influence in his life over the last 11 years or so. He has always been there when Yuvraj was going through a difficult phase in his career.

"Sachin is not just a great cricketer but also a great human being. He has been Yuvraj's guiding angel. My son is very close to him and shares things he would not share with anyone else." Yograj Singh said.


Yograj Singh appreciated Sachin's contribution to Indian cricket and said that he has been the best thing happen to Indian cricket and to his son.


"Sachin must have been my son in previous life or some other close relation. He has been the best thing to happen to Indian cricket and also to Yuvraj," said Yograj


Yograj reveals that only Yuvi's mother and Sachin had trust in his son during the rough phase of Yuvraj Singh.

"He advised Yuvraj to keep working hard and maintain focus. There was lot of scepticism in the air but only his mother and Sachin had an unflinching trust in my son.

"Frankly speaking, any cricketer who has listened to Sachin has benefitted. he said.


Yograj Singh who himself was a cricketer and also played one test match for India, said that BCCI should appoint Sachin as a mentor of Indian cricket after his retirement.


"When he eventually retires, the cricket board should appoint Sachin the mentor of the Indian cricket team. He can turn any ordinary player into a phenomenal cricketer."he said.


Yuvraj Singh is the star performer for India in this World Cup with both bat and ball. This stylish left-hander took the man-of-the-match award four times in this World Cup and now one of the leading contendor for player-of-the-tournament.


After playing an important role in India's victory over Australia in the quarterfinal, Yuvraj said that he is playing this tournament for the special person.

"I am playing for a very special person that comes in my mind and whenever things are not going well I think of that person and things work out,"Yuvraj Singh said.
