'Jagan will become CM well before 2014'--Rambabu

Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh well before 2014 and will lead the Congress party to victory in the next general elections.

This was asserted by PCC general secretary Ambati Rambabu, a staunch loyalist of Jagan, on Sunday. He said Jagan would get a prominent post immediately. “We have asked for the chief minister post for him and it is for the high command to give whatever post he deserves at present. But it is certain that he would become the chief minister sooner or later,” he said.

Rambabu said the forthcoming Congress Legislature Party would not decide who would be the chief minister. However, it would definitely reflect the opinion of majority of the MLAs. “We are confident that the high command would not turn down the majority opinion and take a decision, in tune with the people’s aspirations,” he said, adding that Jagan would become the chief minister only after the high command was convinced of his abilities.
