DBA ante development ki chances takkuva... undavani cheppanu... still very minimal compared to .NET...personal experience tho cheptunaanu.... I am a SQL Server DBA ( I know about my colleague Oracle DBAs) and I did BE in EEE and MS in CS so koncham bhayya related ga anipinchi cheppaanu :)

Finally Oracle market is really great now... so try in that... all the best
