Like other young people, senior hero Rajasekhar too had a love affair in his college days. Recently in an informal chat he revealed about it. " while in college, I fell in love with a girl who was five years younger than me. I even proposed to her, but she declined it.

I went in to deep depression and friends seeing my agony, suggested me to take refuge in God. Before that I did not believe in such things. I went to a Shivalayam in Mylapore and and prayed to Lord Shiva saying, if you are really present, make the girl to accept my love. Surprisingly, after two months she gave me green signal", told Rajasekhar smiling. He didn't tell why he hasn't married that girl. Later he got married to actress Jeevitha and has two daughters. With the devotion formed towards Lord Shiva by this incidence, he named his daughters Shivani and Shivatmika.
