Despite Sharmila and Vijayalakshmi stating that they would like their brother to contest, 10 Janpath is sure that such a decision would allow an alternate power center to breed. So the wise men in Delhi have decided to let the widow of Dr YSR contest in the elections that will be held in December 19th. Ironically enough the Rajya Sabha MP Dr K V P Ramachandra Rao has been entrusted with the task of persuading the reluctant widower to contest. Earlier there were rumors that Y S Vivekananda Reddy (the brother of Dr YSR) would be given the seat. But sources close to the family have stated that, such an alternative was not even considered. According to PCC President D.Srinivas, Delhi to begin with was sure that it had to be someone from within Dr YSR’s family. The filing of nominations will begin onNovember 25 and will continue till 2nd December. The TDP (which has never won from this segment) as announced that it will not contest a candidate from Pulivendula.
