HI friends

i have applied for a university clerkship,i  got 4 weeks till the end of july ,so the immigration officer gave me i94 till july 21 st.

but i have the scheduling permit to write my USMLE step 2 cs and ck  and have to stay here till october 17.
is there any procedure to extend my i 94 till october without going to india before july 21st.

kindly guide me.

u can convert to B1 (specifically for writing exam). Lot of MBBS people do that. When you are in current status, apply for B1 stating Exam as the reason.

currently am on b1 visa only.it will expire on 24th april 2012
but my i94 expires on 21st july2011
i have to write xams here in aug n octobr.

then U can apply for extension stating EXAM as reason, but u need to do it immediately as it will take atleast 4 weeks.

And is it mandatory that you need to be here to write your exam? That will be the point they considering and also you will be in USA for 4 months before exam, some one need to be your guardian or care taker in terms of financial terms.

Ok financial statement of my father is enough or anyone from USA must sponcer me??

A USA person should sponsor you. He or She must submit financial affidavit and their visa related proof.
