Westinghouse 32-inch 720p LCD, $246 at Target

Grab an extra TV for the bedroom, basement or all three (if you can con some friends into standing in line for you) with this economy-priced Westinghouse set. Will you throw on The Dark Knight and gawk at its unbelievable picture quality and black levels? Probably not, but we're still betting it looks a lot better than the clunky tube set it will replace, and you won't throw out your back getting it home from the store. Just be careful trucking that old one down the stairs.

Toshiba Satellite L505 16-inch Notebook, $400 at Best Buy

All the big stores have almost identically equipped laptops for $400 this year, but this Toshiba was our top pick. Why? It's the only one powered by Intel's tried-and-true Core 2 Duo processor, which offers a significant step up from the cheaper Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron models. The 16-inch screen is also larger than the 15.6-inch screens on similar models. Paired with 3GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, you're looking at a powerful notebook for the price of a netbook.

Kodak M381 Digital Camera, $100 at Radio Shack with Free Polaroid Pogo Printer

Getting $70 off Kodak's new M381 should be reason enough to hit RadioShack on Black Friday, but the real cincher is the free Polaroid Pogo printer you'll get with it. The pocket-sized printer, which typically goes for $60, allows you to make instant 2 x 3 prints on the go just by connecting your camera. RadioShack offers the printer with any camera over $89.99, which may make it tempting to go with Casio's $90 EX-Z33, but we think the Kodak's 5x optical zoom, 12-megapixel sensor and generous 3.0-inch LCD all make it a smart buy for another $10.

TomTom XL340S, $97 at Target ($250 MSRP)

In previous years, only bottom-of-the-barrel navigators hit this price point, but TomTom's XL340S is actually a quite modern GPS loaded with frills. It offers a 4.3-inch screen, TomTom's unique flat-folding windshield mount (with quite a tenacious grip), and text-to-speech capabilities for reading street names out loud. We chalked the XL 340S up as a solid value back when it debuted at $250, so for $97, you're looking at an absolute steal.

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Bundle with Six Free Games, $300 at Best Buy

No one offers Microsoft's Xbox 360 Elite for under list price of $300 this year, but just about every retailer has something thrown in to spice up the deal. Sears offers a free Xbox Live 12-month Gold Card. Target offers a $50 gift card. K-Mart offers it bundled with Halo3: 0DST. Best Buy one-ups them all with a whopping four games thrown on top of the two in the existing bundle: Sonic the Hedgehog, Spiderman Web of Shadows, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2, and Wall-E. These aren't exactly A-listers, but they'll keep you holed up during the holidays and well beyond.

Acer Aspire One Netbook, $200 at Office Depot

As if netbooks weren’t absurdly cheap enough to begin with, Office Depot has used some sort of retail black magic to make even more of the price disappear, getting this Acer model down to $200. Yes, $200 for a fully functional Windows XP computer with a 10.1-inch screen, Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. K-Mart has a smaller, less powerful model running Windows CE priced at $120, but the $70 upgrade to this model is a no-brainer.

As if netbooks weren't absurdly cheap enough to begin with, OfficeMax has used some sort of retail black magic to make even more of the price disappear, getting this Acer model down to an unimaginable $150. Yes, $150 for a fully functional Windows XP computer with a 10.1-inch screen, Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. K-Mart has a smaller, less powerful model running Windows CE priced at $120, but the $30 upgrade to this model is a no brainer.

HP 17.3-inch G71 Notebook with Core 2 Duo Processor, $450 at Office Depot

Looking for a little more screen than the 16-inch Toshiba that Best Buy offers? For another $50, you can upgrade to a gargantuan 17.3-inch screen with this model, without leaving the venerable Core 2 Duo behind. It also offers 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

Samsung UN46B6000 46-inch LED-backlit HDTV, $1600 at Sears

It may be the most expensive item on our list, but with a whopping $1,000 shaved off MSRP, it's also one of the biggest steals. This super-slim 1.2-inch set offers LED backlighting for energy efficiency, 120Hz refresh rates, and Samsung's sleek Touch-of-Color bezel. Most customers will head to Best Buy for this TV, where it received prime ad real estate, but Sears offers the same price and should have fewer crowds.

HP Photosmart Plus All-in-One, $75 at Staples, ($150 MSRP)

HP offers any number of all-in-one printers you can pick up any day at this price, but the Photosmart Plus offers an array of premium features you won't find on those stripped-down cheapies. Most notably, you'll get a full color screen and memory card slots for printing photos directly from your camera, Wi-Fi for getting it on your network without wires, and even compatibility with HP iPrint Photo for printing from your iPod Touch or iPhone.

Sony Bravia L Series 32-inch 720p TV, $377 at Best Buy ($500 MSRP)

Not every Black Friday bargain consists of off-brand surplus dredged up from a corner of some warehouse. The Bravia L series may be Sony's budget line, but it still offers an impressive 13,000:1 contrast ratio, an attractive bezel, and picture quality far above what the no-name models can muster. If you would prefer to avoid the Best Buy zoo this season, you can also grab the same model for $3 more at K-Mart.
