Hyderabad, June 3: Dubbing the TDP’s no-trust motion against the Congress government as Andhra leaders’ political drama, the TDP suspended leader, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, has urged the Telangana Congress MLAs to utilize the chance and vote against the government without fail. He also declared that he would cast his vote in favor of no-trust motion. He said that he would defy the Party whip for the sake of Telangana.

Speaking at the Assembly media point on Friday along with another senior TDP leader, Mr Harishwar Reddy, Dr Nagam said that the Telangana Congress MLAs have got a golden chance to confront the Centre on the burning Telangana issue. “Telangana Congress MLAs have to utilize the chance to topple the government if the Centre failed to announce its decision on Telangana issue”, he added.

Stating that election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker should not be conducted at this juncture, Dr Nagam said that it was not proper to conduct the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker without clearing the Telangana issue. He said that the process will be conducted once again if Telangana State was carved out.

Finding fault with the TDP decision on serving notice to the government on no-trust move, Dr Nagam asked the TDP whether it does not know when to serve a no-confidence motion. It seems the TDP has entered into a match-fixing with the ruling party, he said, adding that the no-trust motion notice should be served while the session was on.

Alleging that the Congress governments, including those of Dr YSR, Mr K Rosaiah and Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, appear to be against the Telangana, Dr Nagam said that the Congress party returned to power by giving a categorical assurance on separate Telangana in 2009 elections. He said that the Congress government has already lost people’s confidence and there was no need to move a no-trust motion in the House.

Quoting the TDP Chief, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu’s statement that the Centre has the responsibility to take an amicable decision on Telangana issue to protect Telugu people, Dr Nagam questioned the Telangana TDP leaders whether it meant not to create separate Telangana State. He also asked them not to agree other than separate Telangana. He also asked the Telangana TDP MLAs as to why they were afraid of demanding separate Telangana whem the Seemandhra TDP leaders were openly advocating united Andhra. He also advised Telangana TDP leaders not to obey Mr Naidu blindly. He asserted that Mr Naidu was not in favor of Telangana and hence he was asking the Centre to find an amicable solution that could satisfy all the Telugu people. Alleging that there was a gang of four among the Telangana TDP leaders, Dr Nagam said that they were blindly following Mr Naidu at the cost of Telangana demand.
