wait events ante ...ippudu oka SQL query execute chesam anuko, adi constant ga execute avvakapovachhu, it may be waiting for some other event to happen....


oka example, suppose oka query ki kavalisina block of data to which it want to make changes is not in the SGA, then it waits until that block is available in SGA...............

e wait events meedane mana query performance depend avtundi............so some or the oter time each query waits for some or the other reason like db file sequential read, db file sequential write, bussfer busy waits...etc


ela oka 806 wait events unnai ani ekkado chadiva.....

adi depends on the type of wait event.....first find out the top wait events from v$session_wait or v$session_events....then depending upon it we have to follow a proceed...

go for AWR report...it is a very detailed report.......

use dbms_workload_repository API to create for specific snapshot range in text or html format....

edi help endi mama...in  fact cheppalante i should thank you...........nee questions valla i got an oppurtunity to remember and refresh  few concepts............for this only fact i reply in every ORACLE related posts whether i know abt it or not......nenu wrong aite nannu crt chestu post padutundi and that helps me alot and nenu cheppindi crt e aite i got a chance to refresh the knowledge i have............so these are some kind of posts where there is a gain from all sides..............anyway lets keep the same spirit of knowing from eah other  H&*() H&*() H&*()
