Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s fast-unto-death agitation is being viewed with suspicion by many leaders, because of his bad track record.

According to M A Rahman, former TRS legislative council member and once a strong associate of KCR in his hey days, the TRS president’s fast was nothing but a farce. “A couple of years ago, when he launched fast unto death at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, too, he did not take up the fast seriously. At that time, he felt hungry and I supplied him the curd rice. He took it into the bathroom and ate the curd rice there. I was witness to it,” he pointed out.

This time, too, he said, KCR ended his fast within 24 hours and accepted fruit juice. “But now he says the doctors forced him to drink it. It is all humbug. He must be eating food secretly even now,” he said.
