as far as i know, u need to drop it and create it again.

incase vere solution edaina dorikithe ikkada please post cheyyi. future lo evarikaina help avochu.

You can do some better work around.. if u peel that your allowable list increases time to time... i mean nuvvu ippudu code lo allowabale only 4 items unnayi anuko.. future lo inka perugutayi anuko.... it is better.. to come up with another table have this field refereced to the new table (referential integrity), so that way you can have full freedom to add / delete allowable values.
With CHECK constraint.. it is difficult to add/remove.. since it got to be dropped all the time...

This would be an ideal approach.
