Ram Gopal Varma’s Gayam which was released in the year of 1993 became a turning point in the career of Jagapati Babu. Praveen Sri – a protégé of Ram Gopal Varma is going to direct this movie with Jagapati Babu as hero. Dharma Karta will produce this movie on Karta Creations banner. Pooja ceremony of this movie was held at Film Nagar Daiva Sannidhanam on 2 December. Senior producer VB Rajendra Prasad handed over the script to Dharma Karta. It is a perfect sequel where the story starts in the life of Durga after 15 years.

Regular shoot will start in the last week of December. It will take place in Hyderabad, Vizag and abroad. The producer is aiming for April 2010 release.
