Rosaiah blocks Telangana-emissary to Sonia

Serious differences have cropped up in the state Cabinet over the Telangana issue with the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, turning down a suggestion by ministers from the region that they would approach the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, to resolve the burning issue.

Meanwhile, the condition of the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, admitted in the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, is stable.

The proposal to send a delegation to Delhi came during an emergency meeting of Telangana ministers called by the CM in the wake of the turmoil caused by the TRS stir, but Mr Rosaiah opposed it, saying this would be construed as a pressure tactic by the Congress high command.(DC)
