Hi..i am regular follower of this thread..
i have scottrade acct..recently i bought some shares...but it is showing settlement date as 05/11/2012
Wht is ment by setttlement date..do i need to sell my shares on or before that date or can i sell them at anytime

Plz help me thru this

the funds you deposited into your brokerage account takes time to get settled (transaction time)...you can sell them..shouldnt be a problem....anyways talk to the rep for further details..gl
