never worked in unix environment for deploying web application so far mama  sorry2
usual ga windows lo aithe telusu ekkada place cheyyali..directory structure ela undali..and how to run ani...but unix lo no idea baa  sorry2

emo baa APache is a Webserver as per my limited knowledge... and Weblogic/Websphere kind of them are Application servers where we deploy/host the application..

what kind of pages(php, java or simple html)  it is ... general gaa apache http server ... so u need to place u r web directory  inside htdocs folder ... then u can access u r page [url=http://localhost/ur_directory/page_name]http://localhost/ur_directory/page_name[/url] .....

if u r talking abt apache tomcat ..... u need to place u r war file or explode archive inside webapps folder .....
