each & every topic cannot be covered in virtual class. Interested Reader can explore more from other sources.  s%H# @3$% s%H#

just kidding

for example :

take a classless subnet : 12.11.5.1/23

Here : IP = 12.11.5.1 & mask is 23 ante 255.255.254.0 & writing them in binary form

IP                  :    0000 1100 . 0000 1011 . 0000 0101 . 0000 0001
Mask            :    1111 1111 . 1111 1111 . 1111 111|0 . 0000 0000  ======> ikkada /23 ante count from left, it ends at "|"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nework IP    :    0000 1100 . 0000 1011 . 0000 010|0 . 0000 0000  ===========> when you do XOR operation of IP address bits with Mask bits u get Network IP. Mask lo 1 unte, IP lo
                                                                                                                                      unna bit will be in Netowrk IP
Network bits :    XXXX XXXX . XXXX XXXX . XXXX XXX|0 . 0000 0000  ===========> Network bits are the one's counting from left till u reach "|" which is here /23
Host Bits      :    0000 0000 . 0000 0000 . 0000 000|X . XXXX XXXX  ===========> Host bits are one's counting from right to left till u reach "|"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hosts Rang  :  0000 1100 . 0000 1011 . 0000 010|X . XXXX XXXX  ===========> Here X is wild card, can take "0s" or "1s"
1st host  IP  :  0000 1100 . 0000 1011 . 0000 010|0 . 0000 0001 ============> 12.11.4.1.
Last HostIP  :  0000 1100 . 0000 1011 . 0000 010|1 . 1111 1110 ===========> 12.11.5.254
BC IP            :  0000 1100 . 0000 1011 . 0000 010|1 . 1111 1111 ===========> 12.11.5.255

Note: Host bits with all "0s" & "1s" are not considered as valid  Hosts IP. Host bits with all "0s" is Network subnet IP. Hosts with all "1s" is Broadcast IP
