Hyderabad, Aug 31: The proposed “Sakala Janula Samme” (general strike) by the government employees is likely to be postponed once again. The strike that was initially proposed to be started on July 17 was postponed at the request of the Muslims, due to the fasting month of Ramzan. The Telangana JAC has then announced that the strike of the employees would commence on September 6. however, it was once again postponed in view of the Vinayaka Chaviti festival. It is now learnt that the employees might start the strike from September 13. Fears are being expressed by the employees that they were being made scapegoats. Employees are privately commenting that the MLAs who had resigned had not insisted on the acceptance of their resignations and the ministers who had resigned, were attending to their normal duties. They are stating that when they had accepted to go on strike, the situation was different and now the MLAs and ministers had themselves watered down the agitation. In this situation, how far it was justified for the JAC to ask them to risk their jobs and go on strike, they are questioning. The employees might go on the general strike from September 13.

Strike apart, the JAC has been preparing several agitational programmes to keep the heat of the movement on. These programmes would be implemented in three phases on September 8, 9 and 10. the government employees unions are likely to serve strike notice in two or three days.
