Adolf Hitler Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 "The basis on which the decision (for a new Telangana state) was taken has now disappeared," Congress leader Veerappa Moily, the party's in-charge in Andhra Pradesh, said on Saturday. Moily said that both Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajya Party (PRP) have taken a U-turn on their stand regarding Telangana statehood. "THE TDP, PRP, BJP and even the Communists attended the all-party meeting on December 7. They now say they don't agree. That means there is no consensus,'' the Union Law Minister said. In a 294-member Andhra Assembly, 135 MLAs across parties have already resigned and there could be more resignations. Of the 135 MLAs who've resigned so far, 79 are from the ruling Congress itself. Earlier, Andhra Chief Minister K Rosaiah told media that he had told the Centre that it was difficult to pass a resolution on a separate Telengana state.
