and we will loose all online redologs and ORacle will create new incarnation kaada,..

aa time lo data loss ayutundi kaada??  but DATABaSE recover recover ayutundi  ...with some data loss.

any other workaround ??  to recover without lossing data???????????????????

[/quote]database ni without dataloss recover cheyyaali ante..u must have Online redo logs .. ledhu ante there definetly will be a dataloss ..

Online redologs pothe.. u have to do point-in-time recovery using Archive logs

Control Files .. Online redo logs.. chaala sensible components of database .. Control files anni corrupt ayyaay anuko .. u've to restore the database

in the same way .. Online redo logs "CURRENT" state(you get it from v$log / v$logfile) lo unna yedhaina member ni delete chesaav anuko .. the only fix is .. u have to restore the database

[/quote]logical ga aaloochinchu oka sari .. database crash avvaka mundhu Redo logs lo unna information or data Archive avvaledu .. ipudu database ni start chesinapudu .. recovery cheskuntundi .. aah recovery chesetapudu Online Redo logs levu ante.. consistent state lo ki ela osthundi ? aah previous data ni ela recover chesthaav ?

Also, resetlogs ani open chesaav ante.. associated Physical standby's anni have to be rebuilt / re-instantiated
