Lets say u connect a load between L1 and Neutral or L2 and neutral...they both are the same...u cannot connect a load between L1 and L2 as shown in the figure as they both (L1 and L2 are from the same phase). Single phase connection SHOULD have a neutral. This neutral may or may not be grounded depending on the situations..grounding would be more safe...idhantha nenu based on the pic u posted chepthunna

nuvvu exact ga problem anto cheppagaligithe cheppu mama...neeku type chese opika lekapothe lite...but naaku situation ardham kaaledhu....but one thing is sure...30 Amps mathram draw cheyyaru meeru on a extension chord..that is its capacity...endhukante 30 amps is whole lotta current
