The State Government has sent additional forces to the violence-hit Adoni town to bring the situation under control. The forces are being led by an IGP rank officer.

After review the situation with the top police officials including Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy, Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy instructed the all concerned to take tough measures against those trying to disturb the peace and destabilised law and order situation. He asked the officials not to give scope for any unsocial elements to rise their ugly heads gain at any place including Kurnool district.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLAs led by floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi gave a representation to the Chief Minister alleging that the communal clashes in Adoni town were pre-planned. He alleged that Hinduvahini organisation was behind the attacks. He said several shops owned by the minority community were targeted and several houses were attacked in Valmiki Colony, Qazipura and Nizam Colony.

The Chief Minister has assured the MIM legislators that government would take all necessary measures to contain the violence and protect the lives and property of minorities living there. Akbaruddin Owaisi was accompanied by MLAs Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Ahmed Balala.
