In a stirring speech from Delhi that was telecast live, Vijaywada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal called for the launch of “KNIT INDIA” movement. He said this will be as important as the “Quit India” movement launched to drive away the divisive forces. He termed the “Split AP” movement as one fuelled and fired up by unemployed politicians. He invited the tabulation of the resolution in the A P state assembly and categorically sated that 225 out of the 294 MLAs cutting across regions will turn it down. He said the movement will be launched after he addresses the media in Hyderabad tomorrow. Of Chidambaram’s statement, Mr Rajagopal made a pointed distinction and said that the statement made by the Home Minister should be viewed from a UPA perspective and not a Congress perspective. Mr Rajagopal also added that the voice of a united Andhra will be heard strongly and consistently going forward and concluded by saying that the will of the Telugu speaking people will prevail.
