They hailed from different parts of Andhra Pradesh(Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra). This event was organized by Software Engineers Hemanth Vennavalli, Sahir Mopuri, Murali Bhavanam, Murali Namasivayam, Ramreddy, Ambati Manohar, Surender, Kasi Viswanath, Balaji, Venu Latchupathula, Lakshminarayana, Vijaya Bhaskar and Ratnakar, Krishna and Ajay. The event started with the Mossouri State Capital Building for a United Andhra. Addressing the gathering on this occassion... Sahir Mopuri called for the telugus in the state to be united as the NRIs here in the United States and expressed our strong support and standing for United Andhra Pradesh. Every speaker in his speech has deeply condemned the decision taken by the Central government to make a new state. One speaker has added "How did 11 days of fasting bring about such a decision, when this issue has been going on for decades?". And was added ''For silly motives we should not divide the people and the state.'' There were lot of slogan cards raised, favouring the United Andhra pradesh. We finally ended up the meeting with 'United we stand, divided we fall. We are all Telugus, we are one.'
