I’m sure each of you have run into the annoyance with office 2k10 when you open any document. It forces you into read only and then you must click the enable edit button. Here is how you disable that feature so the file you open goes directly into edit (like old office).

Open MS Word/Excel
Click File
Click Options
Click Trust Center
Click Trust Center Settings
Click Protected View
Unclick the 3 checkboxes under Protected View
Click ok, ok, and then close MS Word

It’s now disabled for all MS Office 2k10 tools
