Zidane is "Footballer of the Decade"

Zinedine Zidane, the French Footbal prodigy was chosen the 'Footballer of the Decade' by voters on FoxSports.Com. Ronaldinho, who was voted Player of the decade by a magazine this month, was placed second far behind Zidane.

Zidane got over 900 votes of the 2850 votes, and the third place went to his teammate Thierry Henry.

Zidane scored 95 goals in 506 club matches and 31 goals in his 108 appearance for France. Zidane became the most expensive player in 2001, when Juventus signed him for a 126 million dollar deal. After France won the World Cup in 1998, Zidane rose to stardom. He also won the FIFA Player of the year in 1998. Zidane, undoubtedly made his outstanding contribution in the 2006 World Cup.
