Ridiculed For Sneezing,b.tech Graduate Kills Friend. Both From Nellore

BANGALORE: A post-graduate in computer applications who ridiculed his engineer-friend's sneezing was fatally stabbed, allegedly by the latter, in their residence in Munekolala near Marathahalli on Friday morning.

The deceased Charan, 23, a native of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, BTech graduate Srinivasulu, 28, and three others, Ashok, Chandrakanth and Venkatesh Prasad, were staying together in their two-bedroom Munekolala house.

Charan, Srinivasulu and Ashok were in the house, while Chandrakanth was standing outside when the incident happened. HCL employee Venkatesh Prasad, Srinivasulu's brother, had gone to work.

"Srinivasulu was suffering from a bad cold for some days. This morning, Charan and Srinivasulu were sitting in a room. Srinivasulu kept sneezing and Charan started making fun of him," eyewitness Ashok said.

Srinivasulu asked Charan to get out and leave him in peace. But Charan continued to make fun of Srinivasulu. A furious Srinivasulu rushed into the kitchen, brought a knife and the duo started fighting.

A scared Ashok rushed out to get Chandrakanth. Both came inside to see Charan lying in a pool of blood and Srinivasulu, his clothes bloodied and a bag in hand, rushing out in a hurry.
Charan was taken to VIMS Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Alerted by neighbours, police arrived and launched a search for Srinivasulu.

A police team found Srinivasulu 1 km away and arrested him. Srinivasulu was in an agitated state at the time of his arrest.

Barring Venkatesh Prasad and the others were hunting for jobs in Bangalore. Srinivasulu and Prasad too hailed from Nellore.

"Srinivasulu's friends told us he was psychologically troubled," HAL police inspector C Balakrishna said.
