Hello Friends,

I have few questions regarding taxes during OPT Period

1) Will Federal with holdings be same for OPT and H1b? If there is a difference what would that be
2) Will there be SSN and Medicare with holdings during OPT period?

When i run my pay with "pay check calculator" I see there is difference in the calculations. Wanted to verify.

Maa consultancy vadu ichede takkuva danilo malli SSN inka Medical cut chestunadu..yemana ante yevadu chepadu antadu..yedana official sites lo mention chesi unte aa link ivandi baa...I have tried but could not find any. please help.

During your OPT work tenure, you are not liable for Social Secuirty and [color=#EEFFE2]medicare[/color] taxes. That is, you are exempt from these taxes as long as you are in OPT. you need to report the following link to the HR department so that thay can waive these taxes off, from your paycheck. Here is the following link!



Submit this to the HR department after you join the firm, and couple of days in the office.
