manchi donga Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Lack of strong leader made KCR a big hero Lack of a strong leader in the state politics, particularly the ruling Congress, made a failure leader, K Chandrasekhar Rao, the great hero. KCR and his ambitious politics (decisions) have made him a failure in the State politics. He could not do much as a Minister in the Central Cabinet. He could not even initiate debate in the Parliament as Member of Lok Sabha. He had resigned twice and got elected by raising the sentiments of the people. Even after his two elections, he could not pull the needed strings in Delhi to get Telangana. He failed miserably in getting peoples’ support for the demand. Most of the TRS leaders have deserted him and all that he could get was two MP seats – one for him and the other for Vijayasanthi. Having won two MP seats, KCR could not raise the issue in Parliament. He never made any attempt to raise the issue in Parliament. Even if he had, it was just a passing remark and there was no pressure on the government for the cause. The TD too had voted for Telangana by changing its stand for integrated State. Thus the TD had surrended to the TRS. The CPI also turned in favour of Telangana, while the CPI-M, though opposed separate State, tied up with TRS in the 2009 elections. With most of the parties coming to terms with the Telangana issue and no strong leader to challenge the demand, the weakest politician had emerged as a strong leader and finally became a big hero.
