ok bro. I am ex-aussie. I have been there for more than 3 years. Without PR, there is very very less chance of getting a professional job unless ur from electronics or mech or civil background ( as currently, there r good jobs for them )

Reason : Unlike US,which gives u 3 year h1b visa, Aus. gives u only 1.5 years of work permit, in that period, its very difficult to get a job without PR as every company asks u PR without which they can't hire u. Aus. PR is somewat long process and it depends on hell of things like economy zone , ur profession, skilled occupation which is aus. demand list.

For ex: If aus. needs doctors, govt. will PR quickly to all ppl (who applied for PR) who r doctors by profession. If there is no big requirement for software engg.s then IT guys who applied for PR will have to wait for years. It works in the interest of aus. govt, their economy, their demand list etc.,

In my 3.5 years exp. if ur MBA, I won't suggest u to go for aus. without PR, as there r already glut of professionals out there.

Last but not least, One very imp. point, AUSSIE COMPANIES WON'T GIVE A damn FOR OVERSEAS EXP ! if ur 5 years overseas exp. candidate and any candidate with 1 year exp. applies for the job, without any second thought, he will be hired as they give utmost imp. for local exp. than overseas one.
