Hyderabad, Oct 31: Yes, what you heard is correct. Young leader Jagan owes the government Rs. 3 lakhs. Are you surprised that the multi-millionaire owes such a paltry amount to the government? Then read the story.

When Jagan was elected as MP for the first time, he was allotted the spacious quarter no. 26 in the Lodhi Estate. Such spacious quarters are generally not allotted to first time MPs. However, with the blessings of his father, he got that quarter quite easily. Jagan has resigned to his parliament membership on November 19, 2010. The government gave one month time for Jagan to vacate. Jagan ignored those notices and kept the quarters for himself, as he was hopeful of winning back his seat.

He knows that if he vacates it, he would not get it back, as his father was no more. The government has asked him to pay a penalty of Rs. 3 lakhs as he has used it against the rules. But it is reported that Jagan has so far not paid that amount. This information came out when a RTI activist has filed a petition under the Right To Information Act, seeking information about persons using MP quarters against rules. Apart from Jagan, former MP Venkata Swamy and five more MPs also have to pay such dues.
