Of course, not only below NASA research, every country has their own rnd and issues :) astro engineers vunte CITI#H@

While some of NASA’s research sounds a little far-fetched, much of it has practical implications for day-to-day life. Here is a partial list of some of the technological innovations that have their roots in NASA research:
1. Astronomy technology that measured the temperature of distant stars and planets is now used as a high speed medical thermometer that measures energy from the eardrums.
2. Certain alloys developed by NASA for the space station that change shape are now used in making valves for showers and sinks in the home that reduce water flow to a trickle at high temperatures to prevent scalding.
3. Reflective insulation — thin aluminum-coated plastic film, which was used as a protective barrier for astronauts and space sensitive equipment — is now used in efficient home insulation.
4. The Ovation fibreglass guitar uses NASA aerospace technology and special vibration analysis equipment to enhance the sound of acoustic guitars.
5. The heat shield product, made of glass, cork and epoxy, was once used to just safeguard the NASA shuttles. Now it’s also used in energy efficient living rooms.
6. Temper foam was originally designed to make seats in NASA space vehicle more comfortable. Now it’s used in beds, pillows, footwear and protective headwear.
7. Water purification systems in many kitchens date back to NASA technology. A water purification system was needed in space. NASA engineers and private companies worked together to develop a system to purify water to make it clean and drinkable.
8. NASA research on algae — as a substance for making foods last longer in space travel — resulted in a vegetable oil-like substance that contains fatty acids found in human milk. The substance is now used to enrich infant formula.
9. Tiny heart pumps have been developed based on space shuttle fuel pump technology and given 200 patients a new lease on life. One inch in diameter and weighing less than four ounces, the miniature ventricular assist pumps were developed by NASA and heart surgeon Dr. Michael DeBakey.
10. NASCAR race cars use the same thermal protection system to protect drivers as the one used to safeguard NASA astronauts on the space shuttle.
11. NASA rocket fuel used in the space shuttle has been used to destroy landmines.
12. NASA computer technology — the high tech image processing used to analyze space shuttle launch video — has been rejigged to clarify crime scenes for police.
13. Foam insulation — used on the space shuttle’s external tank — is used to produce master moulds for prosthetics.
14. NASA infrared technology is being used by firefighters to locate hot spots in wildfires. The infrared hand-held camera was designed to observe the plumes of the shuttle.
15. A lighting technology developed for space experiments with plants is being considered as a form of therapy for children suffering from brain tumours. Doctors at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee are looking at these diodes to kill cancer cells.
