Is there any risk in travelling to india while on extension? i mean, emanna ques aduguthara? or are we safe if we have the corresponding i 20 n other docs?

with days getting worse...its better to have recent paystubs,employer letter documenting ur project......murthy forum lo opt extension inko 1-2 years lo thisesthunnaru ani pukar....so these are a part of strict measures....

Dude I went to India as soon as I got my OPT extension card
I went on sept 25 2011 and returned on nov 1 JFK my port of entry.
They will ask for your I-20 with signature from your university to travel.
To be in safer side carry your employer letter and most recent paystubs that should do.

Dont show your opt card only show your I-20 and tell them that your student.
give other documents only if they ask apart from your passport.

And yes returning on weekends would be a plus as they will be weekend mood. So less trouble for you .. MAY BEEEE
