Investors look at its numbers to make up their mind and expect the auditor to be a bulwark against frauds. The multinational audit firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu has betrayed this trust.
It not only failed in evaluating the profit projections of a startup, but also colluded with a fraudster to inflate revenue projections by [font=WebRupee]Rs.[/font] 1,000 crore, duping investors and law enforcement agencies.
The CBI is probing the quid-pro-quo involved in the investments made in YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy's[url="http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/auditing-firm-fudges-jagathi-publications-accounts/1/159445.html"]Jagathi Publications[/url] by some industrialists. Jagan's detractors allege that these investments were only bribe paid in lieu of former chief minister Y. S. Rajashekhar Reddy's largesse.
The investors claim they relied on Deloitte's numbers to justify the premium price of Jagathi shares.
Deloitte senior director P. N. Sudarshan's admission of wrongdoing proves that Deloitte was part of a larger fraud. The case, coming two years after the massive audit fraud by another MNC auditor, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, is a loud cry for accountability within the corporate sector.
Team Anna, which accepts corporate funding, must highlight the matter if it is serious about cleansing the system. So to save some , they need to undermine all the mess which raised by the CBI..


I guess CBI will make progress upto a certain level, where Congress will keep with all the reports on him and ask him to either support the congress or ,. go to the jail via CBI...


the same happened with Gali.. as he strongly rejected congress impression on him and supported tooo much to jagan after he moved out of congress..

so Jaggu will be left with 2 options at the end of this investigation.
1) Go to jail..
2) Join back to congress and praise Sonia gandhi as his 2nd mother and Rahul Gay n d as his big brother..
