Hi Guys,

I had many conversations with my friends so far on this issue. But it was my friend Sagar's reasons for supporting United Andhra made me think more on this issue. I have been in thoughts of posting one article on my blog, but it never happened. Now that I gotta chance, I felt, I shall share some knowledge with you on Telangana.

Im presenting this as a conversation with Sagar Bhaiyya [as I call him]. Update me your insights on Telangana, if you think I wrongly stated anything. And also pardon me if I hurt your feelings.

1.      I don’t want K. Chandhra Shekar Rao [founder of Telangana Rashtriya Samithi] to be a hero… and eat all of the money which central govt gives...once state is formed

        He will never be a Hero. A guy who has been doing all tamashas will be rightly treated. Previous election results explain tells the same.

        Its not just KCR. Its WE people whoz considering him BIG and giving him some preference. He just fought in his own way. At the end of the day hez a politician. Hahaha. They have their own ways.

        EATING AWAY MONEY…. Hahaha.. lets not talk about it bhaiyya.                Temme who did not do it so far!? Out of everyone, I wud say NCBN in his reign of 9 years did far better than others. But everyone eats. This fellow ate legitimately. Hahaha. Lemme know if u want more on late YSR’s piled up assets.

2.      If you really want development then concentrate where and how you can develop rather than separating it.

        Good point here. You temme which regions of Telanaga are developed    after AP formation? Other than Hyderabad and Warangal, can you give out few other names? Well, Hyd cos it’s the capital and Warangal cos of Ms. Shalini Mishra IAS officer. North Telangana districts are in dire poverty. Take the example of the fluorine affected district of AP. Think of harvest Talangana makes and Andhra makes.

       

        On the other hand, lemme give u an example of Bhimavaram (small compared to Warangal and equal to that of Karimnagar in area) and Narsapur. Can you believe, if I say that first Audi in AP was bought by a Bhimavaram landlord?

        Its not Telanganites who are investing in Telangana land and resources. Its Andhra people. No wonder they don’t want a separate state now. ‘cos their properties are all in Telangana. Think of the outer Suburbs of Hyderabad including Kukatpally. How many Telangana ppl do u find in such places? Andhra people have exploited the land and resources. Literally, they made their own colonies BRITISH STYLE. Now Telangana is asking their own separate state how it used to be after Andhra State (Now Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema together with Kurnool as capital) formed from Tamilnadu.

        Telangana with Hyd as capital in good old days with Nizam rulers was FORCED to merge with the Andhra state to use natural resources and human resources. But this shdn’t mean exploitation. Isnt it!?

        Doesn’t it sound like Telangana is claiming their own state like how it used to be before from Andhra region and Rayalaseema? How different is it from India fighting for their land against exploitation by British? Did we like Bristishers sharing our resources at the cost of our own people?

        Thank god Britishers understood after those famous agitations. Our central Government took 50 years. Lolz.

3.      More Discrimination would take place among telugu people and that includes
1) Water
2) Jobs
3) Derogatory remarks about 
4) Development and Revenue generated
5) Political Power
6) Hyderabad

        Apparently this agitation from past 50 years is just because of these natural and human resources. In short, Land and Labor, the two important factors of any Trade (Im sure you learnt this in ur Macro Economics). Political power and Hyderabad thangs are complex for sure but not impossible to solve.

        Revenue generation will all be tabulated vividly. Second SRC has been called in for the same.

        **Attached check few break down stats of three regions in Andhra Pradesh. Don’t miss the most important part… Utilization of the two rivers in Andhra Pradesh. That explains how the proposed dams in Talanagana are never completed. There were around 9 dams which were proposed since AP formation! None of them are yet completed or at least initiated!!

4.      No business investments would take place in Hyderabad further denting its credibility

        True. Nice point. I have been arguing with friends on this. Which means it favors Vizag, Vijayawada, Thirupathi, Kurnool, Kakinada etc [few places from Seema-Andhra districts].

        So, whats so big problem for the Seema-Andhra people? Business investments wouldn’t take a immediate shift from the industrial sectors like volatile stock markets but takes time. Meanwhile revenue allocation to separate states of Telangana as well as The Andhra can result in improving foreign investments. Before that, the new state can work on poverty in their region.

        Both are better off this way. Just an application of “Prisoner’s Dilemma” concept of economics.

5.      What would be capital of Andhra if divided and more money and investments need to be put into the new capital city, which would again take at least 5-10 years.

        So what? Why was Hyderabad made the capital after Andhra Pradesh was formed? Just cos to undertake the rich heritage of Nizams which favors low investments in infrastructure and resources. Just think why Vizag or Thirupathi wasn’t made then; that answers ur question.

        Yeah, capital of Andhra state could be anything. Upto the state government’s will and wish. I prefer Thirupathi (huge revenue) or Vizag (well improvised city now; comparable to Hyd before IT boom).

        It doesn’t mean that Telangana has to give away their resources at the cost of their people, to Andhra cos no Seema-Andhra region is capable of being a capital! Let the filthy rich Andhra people pour in their monies into investments. Isnt it a great news for Seema-Andhra region bhaiyya? Just think of Addu Road on NH5 (Eswar’s fame) investment by GMR few years ago! Its one of such investments which helped GMR grow big and build Shamshabad Airport and own an IPL team!

6.      Once telangana state is formed other states also want their own states… (for example:coorg wants to be separated for Karnataka and mayawathi wants UP to be divided into 4 states and so on)..and the govt has to agree for that also else there would be chaos in the local state govt.

        Let me add few more… Poorvanchal, Ghorkhaland etc. Why SHOULD government accept those states? Well, that depends, if they feel they have enough points for forming a state, then well and fine. Why shd the centre stop them from having it?

Well, at the end of the day, I would also like to mention about the three factors NDA believe in and the reason why they are backing up Telangana cause...

1. Administrative Convenience

2. Geographical viability

3. Economic Viability

        When a region has got these three factors sufficient enough, then why not a separate ruling authority for that region!?

        Let ur kids grow and establish themselves if they are old enough to be independent. Holding them for too long can lead to many Siddharth's telugu hits

7.      Why do u have to divide more states (again british rule divide and rule policy) just for political gains

        At the end of the day Telangana isn’t asking for a country hood! Its going to be a part of India. Its not oaring away to Pakistan to join them!!

        Yes, as we were ruled by Bristish, we still follow Westminster system. Its for better administration purposes. Political gains isn’t the main issue here, as the cause of separate state over weighs political gains.

        And again, who dint do it for gains? Dint the so-called Mahatma Gandhi do? Why was Bhagath Singh made to stop had-thal in the prison after Gandhi got aware that this young chap was getting famous!?

        Even USA got their independence from British. Though they don’t follow Westminster system, they still divide and rule for better administration purposes.

        Corruption and illegitimate political practices will slowly calm down with better media and growing literacy rate in India. But just for that reason, how can we deprive Telanaga from their resources! How far is it justified!?

8.      On bigger picture our country is not as big as US... first telanagana next north india and south india and then different countries..bull ..

        Well, USA is 9 million Sq.Kms and India is 1/3rd of it in area. We Indians want development, but want to be United! Yes, we are united in culture and as country. Let the local people use their resources first and then trade them on terms with neighbouring states for revenue. At the end of the day European United does the same with VALS program. US has got NATA with Mexico and Canada. Just getting smarter by using resources. Making money for development.

        Adding to it, just want to speak on Australia and Netherlands. They both are almost of equal area but different amounts of Labour and Natural Resources. Netherlands is in EU and Australia in the Southern hemisphere. Talking about Internation trade, if Australia were in Netherlands geographical location with Australia’s rich mineral wealth, this island country/continent would have been the most richest next to USA. Its all about trade. Its about how one country utilize their natural wealth for development purposes.

        Talking about trade, look at the huge difference between North and South Korea over the past few decades. And development of Singapore with almost no tariffs. How was Singapore 50 years ago and how is it now!

        Its not the matter of how big our country compared to other countries, but the Natural Wealth as I already mentioned.

9.      And many more economies which would go haywire if divided including film industries and IT industries

        I have answered this before, but again, this isn’t a problem which can’t be solved. Its complex though.

Now U give me ur reasons why u want separate state

Not to forget, we are just diving and ruling, not anymore occupying and exploiting [Like how our kings did].

It happened with Telangana, when it was forced to join the Andhra state dissolving the Nizam’s rule. Now, after five decades, as the development is being concentrated in Seema-Andhra districts, Telanganites think its high time to get their own state [imnt talking about TRS politics here].

At the end of the day all the Telangana leaders arent as bloody foolish as our great Jawarharlal Nehru ji, who passed an act permitting areas to form their own states based on languages. That’s how Andhra state got separated from Tamilnadu. Telangana leaders today are claiming their state based on some valid points but as silly as language [May be Panjit ji had different factors considered but Language was given priority. Another example is Maratis and Gujjus are separated following the same act by our great first Prime Minister].

People in Kashmir wants to see themselves as Pakis. Then why stop them? Why shd we become a British? Hold on…Theres a meaning if we do that! ‘Cos, it’s the matter of country here NOT states.
