No matter how soon or late you apply, if approved, ur OPT Ext will start from the next day of your prior OPT expiry date. Apply atleast a month earlier so that u can continue working when ur OPT expires as u are still in status if u have applied for extension

So nen inka late chesthey emaina problem avthundaaa? Eppati varaku apply cheyachu ani naaa doubt. Bcoz Madhyalo change of employer vasthundi kada....?

[/quote] like I said, neeku apply chesinatlu recipt untene you can work once your OPT expires....nuvvu entha late cheste...receipt antha late avuthundhi,incase nee receipt in time rakapothe, you can not work.. nenu suggest chesedhi enti ante....ippudu unna employer offer letter submit chesi ( with e verify number) apply for extension...once you get the new EAD card, update the new employer information to the university
