Tiwari: My death will answer Allegations

Terming as fake a sex tape showing him with three women that forced him to resign as Andhra Pradesh governor, veteran Congress politician Narayan Dutt Tiwari on Wednesday said, "My death will answer all allegations levelled against me". "I am at the fag end of my life and such allegations at this time pain me. My death will answer such allegations," the 85-year-old Tiwari told a Hindi news channel from his Dehra Dun residence.

Tiwari had to quit the Hyderabad Raj Bhavan in disgrace after allegations of his involvement in a sex romp even as he said he was resigning due to falling health. In his interview to Star News, Tiwari said the allegations were "far from the truth" and denied knowing the woman who had been shown in the video clip.Observing that video technology had become so advanced that anything could be created, he said the clip in question had been morphed to "malign my image".

He reiterated that he didn't resign from the governor's post due to the sex tape and said he had already sought leave on health grounds.
