Bhadrachalam, October 09: Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha said the Koti Bathukamma festival celebrations in Bhadrachalam was being organised to prove that the Bhadradri Ramudu belongs to Telangana. The celebrations began at Midhula stadium near the temple here today under the aegis of Telangana Jagruthi.
As many as five thousand women across the district took part in the festival. Speaking on the occasion, K Kavitha said Bhadrachalam division is part of Telangana and nobody can divide it. She also played Bathukamma for some time with other women participants.
Later, she visited the temple employees' hunger strike camp. Supporting their demands, she said the government should solve the employees' demands. When few of the employees complained that the executive officer who is from Andhra region is harassing Telangana employees, she demanded that the state government transfer Andhra EO and appoint another officer from Telangana.
TRS leaders Rajender, T Venkateswara Rao, K Chandraseakar Rao, Rajavardhan and others were present.
