"Conditional" Permission To Osmania University Vidyarthi Gharjana

The AP High Court has today given "conditional" permission for the Osmania University to conduct the "Vidyarthi Gharjana" tomorrow. Laying out the conditions, the High Court said that the Gharjana should be attended by only the students of various universities. No politicians are to be allowed in the Gharjana.

The High Court has also made it clear that the gharjana should take place only between 3 PM and 10 PM IST and should not carry beyond the stipulated time. Also the High Court laid the onus of maintaining the traffic in the campus with the students mostly.

The Osmania University JAC has welcomed the order but said that it would have been better if the political leaders too could be a part of the Gharjana.

Meanwhile all the preparations for the meeting has almost been completed. But many people wonder how could the site for the Gharjana which could accommodate only 15000 people can cope up if more students come. There are fears of stampedes.

Meanwhile the police has taken all the steps to make the event a peaceful one. The police said today that they would allow only genuine students to participate in the gharjana.
