the intent of twitter is more than just social networking...... keeping it simple and talking all the crap is twitter...... it is for people who are occupied in their schedule and cannot spend time on all the different things of facebook... they comment about the happenings in their life and people interested follow it.... and then if thwey find something interesting they comment on it and have a conversation, which comes under social networking.... partially but not completely... your intent is not to make friends... just talking about your life for people who are interested.....
