I am looking to hire an elephant for one day on his wedding in Amalapuram. Anyone has connections that might be of any help? We are not looking for the elephant to carry humans. Just wanting to have its presence. not going to decorate it or make it entertain or hurt it in any way. Will be paying for the mahout and food for elephant will be provided. just for one day... please ask around if you know anyone from from that area.

[/quote] try contacting the maharaja circus/bombay circus guys. they do it for contract basis. google their contact info or ask your people in india to contact them. also , it is better to inform the local police before doing this so that there is no future problem from PETA,BETA etc.
